The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have announced a new partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Dryden.

The agreement will see both groups working together to support
local Junior A Hockey Programs in Dryden. One task on the agenda is fundraising for a new team bus.

Dryden GM Ice Dogs Team President, Mike Sveinson says the bringing together of these two community-minded organizations is win-win.

“The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are pleased to partner with the Kiwanis Club of Dryden in the name of our long term travel feasibility.  These buses are not cheap, and they need to be replaced as time goes on, and this partnership will ensure that the club is financially able to replace the current bus when the time does come.  It is the Kiwanis Club's mutual interest along with our team to provide a better experience for local youth, and so in doing this we feel that the Kiwanis Club are natural partners who will each benefit from being involved with one another,” he says.

The first campaign will run Canada Day at the Kiwanis Club House with volunteers serving food and beverages from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Coach and GM, Kurt Walsten along with lce Dogs Trevor Kavanaugh, Graham Oliphant and Trey Palermo will be in attendance for pictures with fans with the Bill Salonen Cup between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
