Toronto is back in action tomorrow when they take on the Texas Rangers in a three-game series that will close out a 10-game road trip. The Jays now have a four-and-a-half game lead on Baltimore for the last wild card in the American League.

Goaltender Cayden Primeau has signed a three-year, 2.67 million dollar contract with the Montreal Canadiens. The 23-year-old Primeau was 1-7-1 in 12 games with the Habs last season.

Yesterday, Montreal announced that star goaltender Carey Price has been placed on long-term injured reserve. The 35-year-old former Vezina Trophy winner played just five games last season because of a knee injury.

The Ottawa Senators locked in centre Tim Stutzle yesterday, as the 20-year-old signed an eight-year, 66.8 million-dollar deal.

He finished second on the team last season with 58 points, including 22 goals. Stutzle was drafted third overall in 2020 by the Senators and has played in 132 career NHL games, recording 34 goals and 87 points.
