Very few details have been released but an Ignace man remains in custody following a vehicle theft in that community.
On September 8th Ontario Provincial Police were called to a report of a motor vehicle theft from an Ignace motel at 2:45 a.m.
The vehicle was later located abandoned and the keys were recovered by officers.
Police did not say where the vehicle was abandoned or when or where they located the 38 year old, only that he faces 3 charges in connection to the incident, including:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Driving while under suspension
- Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
Police also claim the rightful owner was pleased to see the vehicle returned to them.
The accused will remain in custody until Friday, where he is expected to appear in court.
