The third-place Dryden GM Ice Dogs (12-8-1-0) picked up four crucial points and extended their win streak to six games with a weekend sweep of the Thief River Falls Norskies (3-9-0-0)

Dryden’s sticks came alive outscoring the Norskies 20-1 over the two games.

The Ice Dogs came out firing on all cylinders on Friday night (November 26, 2021), with a six-goal third period on route to a 13-1 win.

Forward Maxime Collette led the team with a five-point performance notching three goals, and two assists in the big win. Collette leads the league in points with 33 on the season.

Saturday’s affair was no different as the sticks for the Ice Dogs came alive once again as three-goal second and third periods propelled them to a 7-0 shutout win.

Collette put up numerous points again as he was rewarded with two goals and two assists in the win. Goaltender Jordan Belley stopped 27 shots for his second shutout of the season.

With the weekend sweep, the Ice Dogs have completed their eight-game road trip picking up six of a possible eight points.

Dryden will return for their first home game in over a month as they welcome the Wisconsin Lumberjacks (6-11-1-0) to the Dog Pound on Friday night for a pair of games.
