Canada is just 2 wins away from a World Junior Hockey Championship and they won't have to dethrone a defending champ in Edmonton to achieve their goal. Canada will play the surprising Czechia squad in tomorrow's first semifinal after the Czechs upset the unbeaten United States 4-2 last night. Finland and Sweden will square off in the other semifinal, with the winners playing for gold on Saturday night.

The Toronto Blue Jays open a 4-game series against the Yankees in New York tonight, hoping to build off a spirited 6-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday at Rogers Centre.
